Director Raja Gosnell who also directed Scooby-Doo takes the lead on this 3D action movie that is a comedy based on the fun characters created by the cartoonist Peyo (aka Pierre Culliford) from Belgium. In their race to escape the evil wizard Gargamel, the cute little blue smurfs discover that they are suddenly transported to Central Park. Now stuck in a world populated by giants humans, the Smurfs must find a way to escape from Gargamel, and his horrible plans for them so that they can find a way back to their home village.
Paul Reubens is the voice of "Jokey" Smurf in a film also casting Hank Azaria, George Lopez, Fred Armisen, Anton Yelchin, Sofía Vergara, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Winters & Katy Perry.
“Where the smurf are we?” is their surprised question as they realize that Central Park is certainly no walk in their park. Smurf or smurfing can be substituted for any word for smurfs, which makes it fun to smurf Smurf.
